Eligibility Criteria
1 Age Limit: The applicant must be between 25 to 60 years of age.
2 Employment Status: The applicant must not be a permanent government employee. This includes regular salary or pension recipients from State or Central Government, semi-government organizations, Panchayats, Municipalities, or aided educational institutions.
3 Financial Status: The applicant must not be an Income Tax payer.
Financial Benefits
4 Monthly Assistance: Eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹3,000 per month directly into their bank accounts.
5 Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT): The amount will be transferred through the DBT system to the beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked Bank Account. This system is effective from June 1, 2026.
Important Implementation Details
6 Migration from Lakshmir Bhandar: Existing beneficiaries of the Lakshmir Bhandar scheme will be automatically included in the Annapurna Yojana, excluding those marked as deceased, transferred, or deleted in the SIR-2026 survey.
7 Appeals & Tribunal Cases: Applicants whose appeals are pending under the SIR Tribunal or Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will continue to receive benefits until their cases are resolved.
8 Official Verification: All applications will be verified by the Block Development Officer (BDO) for rural areas and the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) for urban areas. The final approval will be granted by the District Magistrate (DM).
